For 2025, multiple new trim levels have been introduced to the Mustang - with one at each end of its price range. Anniversary Level trims available as add-ons to the GT and Convertible trims, and the new 2025 Mustang GTD.
Starting at the affordable end, available at one step above the Premium Coupe, is the EcoBoost Convertible. Starting at an MSRP of $41,615 (about $3,000 less than the Premium Convertible), the Ecoboost Convertible uses the formidable turbocharged 2.3 liter inline four EcoBoost engine, which clocks in at 315 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, and comes equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission. For this trim level, the main attraction to buyers will be providing the same EcoBoost Premium Convertible experience of last year without the potential drawbacks of leather seats - the two trim levels are virtually identical save for that one key difference.
The other trim, the Mustang Dark Horse Premium Coupe, is a luxury focused step up from the Dark Horse that shook the automotive world last year. Starting at an MSRP of $69,870, it improves on the handling of last year’s Dark Horse while adding a suite of quality of life changes. These include aluminum foot pedals, approach detection, heating and cooling seats, and premier trim with Color Accent Stitching, as well as its own security package. In addition to this, the Dark Horse’s biggest draw may well be its 5.0 liter Coyote V8, tuned to produce 500 horsepower, and available with a 6 speed manual transmission.
Additionally, an Anniversary edition trim is available for GT coupes and convertibles. The main draws for this trim are 20 inch Aluminum wheels and a new gauge cluster that takes retro inspired styling cues from the original Mustang.
Finally, another trim that is new for 2025, completely separated from the standard Mustang, is the Mustang GTD, a purely performance focused model that pulls no punches in its single goal of proving the fastest Mustang on and off the streets. Producing 800 Horsepower from its supercharged 5.2 Liter Predator V8 that’s exclusive to the trim, the GTD features all manner of performance oriented changes including larger Michelin tires, an adjustable rear wing, and a race-ready suite of exhaust, brake, and cooling modifications. Starting at an MSRP of $325,000, for access to this action oriented Mustang.
