The 5.3 liter V8 might be the smaller of the two 8 cylinders, but it gets to work with 355 horsepower and can still tow up to 11,500 pounds. This is shy of the 13,300 pounds that the Chevy can tow at its best. The 5.3 Liter V8 is also known for its reliability, being on the shorter end of the V8 does not make it any less reliable or durable than the larger V8.
